Covid 19 Statement

Update01/04/23

Blueberry Hill Care is proud to confirm that throughout the initial Coronavirus outbreak, we continued to visit our most vulnerable customers who needed our support. We fully complied with Government and NHS guidelines at the time, to prevent the spread of infection.

We continue to routinely monitor the situation and we encourage our staff to be fully vaccinated. This maximises the safety of them, our customers and their families. We are fully prepared to enforce the appropriate responses, should the need arise again. We are fully committed to ensuring all necessary steps are taken to protect the health and well being of our staff and customers.

Update – 17/12/21

The Government’s “Plan B” to slow the rising number of Omicron cases is currently in affect.

  • Face masks will be required in more public settings – including theatres and cinemas
  • Work from home where possible
  • The NHS Covid Pass will also be required for visitors to nightclubs, indoor unseated venues with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people and any event with more than 10,000 people
Update – 12/08/21

Fully vaccinated people in England will no longer be legally required to self isolate upon contact with a positive COVID case from Monday 16th August.

Ministers have confirmed that the legal requirement to isolate will be replaced with non-binding advice to take a test for those who are double jabbed, as well as those 18 and under.  Those who do come in to contact with an infected person will not be told to isolate while waiting for their test result.  For people who DO test positive, isolation will continue.

Update – 19/07/21

As of July 19th, the COVID restrictions set will be eased significantly and the following is what will be changing in England:

  • No limits on gatherings and removal of 1m-plus social distancing
  • Face coverings no longer required by law and nightclubs can re-open
  • No limits on guests at weddings, funerals, concerts, theatres, sporting events and religious events
  • Pubs and restaurants no longer offer only table-service
  • Removal of limitations on care home visitation
  • Removal of self-isolation for fully vaccinated adults who come into contact with a positive case.

As much as it’s exciting that “Freedom Day” is finally here, we would like to stress that Blueberry will be remaining very vigilant when it comes to our COVID-19 protocols.   For the safety of our clients, our fantastic carers will be advised to wear face coverings indoors and focus on maintaining good habits such as washing hands regularly and social distancing if it is more comfortable for everyone involved.

Blueberry have worked extremely hard during tough times for the care industry to make sure our clients have felt safe and secure.  This has included spending significant amounts on PPE and also went as far as us making our own homemade hand sanitiser!  Everyone agreed that it was a lot more effective than the regular store bought bottles and a great deal cheaper too…

We’re glad that today seems like a positive turning point in the nation’s fight against the pandemic but we urge everyone to stay safe, be sensible and follow the guidance set by the Government as much as possible.
